Research

The Department of English Language and Literature adopts a multifaceted and interdisciplinary approach to research. Our department supports academic work in various fields including English and American literature, comparative literature, cultural studies, literary theory, gender studies, postcolonial literature, linguistic analysis, translation studies, and critical thinking.

Our academic staff actively publishes in national and international peer-reviewed journals, participates in conferences, symposiums, and workshops, and contributes to projects supported by institutions such as TÜBİTAK and university-based research programs (e.g. BAP).

Students at both undergraduate and graduate levels are encouraged to develop their research skills through coursework, graduation projects, and academic events.

The research activities carried out in our department aim not only to contribute to academic development, but also to support the formation of individuals who are ethically aware and culturally informed.
